James has had a serious interest in magic since childhood and now specializes in the performance of close-up magic. He makes use of small objects like coins, matches, balls, and playing cards to do things that seem impossible. This kind magic is the most amazing because it happens right under your nose. It is also the most entertaining because the audience is so close they become part of the show.

Having studied some of the greatest magic in history, James brings a unique and modern program. The result is a unique blend of classic sleight of hand with audience participation and humour. Every trick you see takes months of research, practice and rehearsal. The result is magic that audiences don't soon forget.
Magic in the Community
In 2007, James became involved with Magic Hands. Magic Hands was designed to teach children new skills and build confidence through the practice and performance of magic. The program was developed by Magicana [link] and is sponsored by The Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Friday Night Magic recently conducted a fundraiser where 100% of ticket sales were donated to The College of Magic in Capetown, South Africa. Fifteen performers donated their time on stage and after the show and raised over $1800.
