Thanks to Chris Ramsay out in Montreal for offering up this informative video exploring a basic taxonomy of the different types of magicians. So if you ever encounter a magician in the wild, you’ll know what you’re up against. Forewarned is forearmed.
A magic trick you can perform on yourself
The human brain is a magical thing and it’s not wired up in the most straightforward way. Here’s a trick you can perform on yourself, described by the great Stephen Fry on the BBC series QI. You could do it standing up, but seated is probably easier. Also a good idea to not be driving a car.

Giving away all of my secrets
Or maybe not.
On Sunday, September 23, I'll be giving a magic seminar at The Browser's Den of Magic. I'll be discussing the underpinnings of some of the material I've worked on over the past ten-ish years. It's not necessarily informative for the uninitiated. But it's an opportunity to talk about some of the work that for 99% of my work must be kept secret.

The Magic of Cookies
Canadian magician, Nicholas Wallace (who appears sweet and innocent but is actually the devil; pure evil wrapped in Mr. Rogers' sweater) appeared on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. Here he tries to take the most wholesome snack, milk and cookies, and turn it into something that is both magic and sinister.
