Last week on Magic Tonight

We were treated to the wonderful wizardry of Chris Westfall, The Great Bill Abbott and The Great Mustachio (long story). Take a look at some of the pictures from the past week and we hope you can join us at one of the shows soon.

Check out Sketchy Magic

Sketchy Magic has just released a video for their show coming to Toronto next month. The show is the brainchild of Chris Westfall and Chris Mayhew - both exceptional comedic performers in their own right.

Tickets for the show are available at www.abracadabaret.com/purchase-tickets. Readers of this blog can use the code reality for a special discount on the price of tickets and dinner when purchasing online.

I'll be performing with Chris Westfall this week on Magic Tonight. Both of those shows sold out early, so if you want your chance to see him, grab your tickets quickly.

Something Strange

I've been going through some of the performance footage we have from the show and thought I'd share something. This is one of the stranger pieces from my show that I don't do very often.

In keeping with the ethos I developed performing Lies, Damn Lies & Magic Tricks, every word I say is true, but yet somehow I've left out important parts of the story so that the overall impression is slightly misleading. But it's a magic show, so you shouldn't expect too much in the way of honesty.

This week on Magic Tonight

If you're coming to see us this week at one of the three locations, you're in for a treat. Thursday at the Franklin House and Friday at The Bear, we have risible prestidigitator extraordinaire, Chris Westfall. Unfortunately, these shows are both sold out. So if you don't have tickets and would like a chance to see Chris, I recommend the upcoming Sketchy Magic which will be in Toronto Tuesdays in April.

On Sunday in Toronto, we have Canadian Magician of the Year, Bill AbbottOrdinarily you need to venture up to Dave & Busters in Vaughan to see his show, Every Trick in the Book but here in our intimate showroom, you'll be close enough to touch the hem of his garment. We have limited seating remaining for this show.

Update: I've been informed by Mr. Abbott's management that audience members must resist the urge to touch the hem of Mr. Abbott's garments. Go figure.

Last week on Magic Tonight

Thanks to everyone who came out to our two sold out shows this past week. It was a week of magic of the mind with Paul Pacific and Bobby Motta. There's also a strange new addition to our cast, Haldane, who you can see in a few of the photos. If you want to find out what his deal is, you'll have to come see the show.

Godwin's Law & Magic

Godwin's Law states that the longer a conversation continues on the internet, the higher the probability that someone mention's Hitler. This video takes that in a somewhat unexpected direction. It's slightly amusing... but only slightly. But it's nice to be mentioned, even if it's not by name.

If you know enough about magic in the city, you can tell who he's talking about, although it's not always clear. I've discussed it with a few colleagues and we estimate a 20% chance that I'm supposed to be the Hitler character. That's a new one.
