Last week on Magic Tonight

Thanks to everyone who came out to our two sold out shows this past week. It was a week of magic of the mind with Paul Pacific and Bobby Motta. There's also a strange new addition to our cast, Haldane, who you can see in a few of the photos. If you want to find out what his deal is, you'll have to come see the show.

This week on Magic Tonight

Slightly off our regular schedule - due to prior commitments, we don't have a show on Friday the 13th (probably for the best.) It will be a week of fabulous mind reading. Thursday at the Franklin House in Mississauga, we have Peel Region's foremost barefoot mindreader, Paul Pacific (somehow, that's a category).

Sunday at the Crimson Lounge in Toronto, we have the mind-blowing and hunky Bobby Motta. Bobby performs weekly at Dave & Busters in Vaughan. But this is your chance to see him without making the trip up the 400.

Magic@theCage Continues

I went back and checked and last night marked our twentieth show at The Cage 292 in The Crimson Lounge. It's been a wonderful time and we have no plans of stopping any time soon. But I went back and looked through the photos since we started the show and picked out my favourites. Join us every Tuesday and Sunday night for more great Magic@theCage....

More magic that sucks

Last night I took part in a joint lecture at the Sid Lorraine Hat & Rabbit Club raising money for the Mosquitoes Suck Tour. The lineup included some fantastic local magicians including two Canadian Magicians of the Year. Thank you to Bill Abbott, Jay Sankey, David Peck, Matt DiSero, Bobby Motta and Anthony Lindan who donated their time to support a good cause.

Magic that Sucks

Earlier this year, I contributed a trick to a special project organized by David Peck and the Mosquitoes Suck Tour. His plan was to create an instructional resource for magicians - magicians teaching magicians - and to take all the proceeds (actually all the revenue!) and put them towards the purchase of malaria preventing mosquito nets. It took a number of months to gather all the contributions and edit them together and the final product is now available. The Mosquitoes Suck Project can be downloaded for just $10. It includes contributions from Bobby Motta, Joshua Jay, Anthony Lindan, David Peck, Brian Roberts and Canadian Magician of the Year Winners Bill Abbott and Jay Sankey. All of the performers donated their time for the project and SoChange provided the filming and editing so 100% of the revenue goes towards bednets.

The download comes as an mp4, 106 minutes long, 2.97 GB. It's an enormous amount of content at an incredible value. The reason for the $10 price tag: $10 buys one insecticide treated mosquito net which protects a family for up to five years. So please consider buying a copy now.
