Happy Thanksgiving to our American neighbours! Enjoy a special holiday method from Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal:
Starry Night
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to perform at the Starry Night Gala hosted by Asia Star Corp and the Dream Building Service Association. It was a night to come together and celebrate important charitable contributions; in particular, groups supporting children in need in Kenya.
Here are some images from the event hosted at the Westin Prince Hotel in Toronto taken by photographer Alglid Alfrgany Abdulmagid.
Magic & Martini in Hillsburgh
I'm thrilled to announce a special extension of Magic & Martini coming later this month. My new show, organized by the Grand Spirits Society will be coming to the Friendly Chef Adventures on Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh.
This comes as the remainder of our shows in Toronto and Oakville for the year are sold out!
The owner of the Friendly Chef is Pam Fanjoy, the winner of Chopped Canada. Pam will be preparing a special dinner for guests. Tickets for the show are available with the option to pre-order dinner. (You can see the show's special prix-fixe menu here.)
This is further afield than any of my shows have been before, but if you live in the area, or know someone who does, please feel free to join us. Readers of this blog can use the code chopped for a special discount on the price of tickets when purchasing online. I look forward to seeing you there for an evening of fantastic food, finely crafted cocktails and some astonishing magic.
Early bird tickets are also available for Toronto in 2017. You can book online now.
The Newest Trick in the Book
Coming to See-Scape in Toronto, there's a new show organized by Ben Train, The Newest Trick In The Book. In the same way that comedians experiment with new and fresh material at open-mic nights, and plays are refined through workshops, this is an opportunity for magic material in development to be tested in front of a live audience.
In addition to having the privilege of seeing tricks for the first time, guests have the opportunity to offer feedback to help shape the new material. It's an interesting experiment that I'm looking forward to being a part of.
I'll be appearing on the show Tuesday, November 8 and Tuesday, November 15 performing never-before-seen tricks. If you'd like to join us, the entire event is pay-what-you-want.
The location is 2480 Dundas Street West in Toronto.
Connected Circle - Mystic Halloween
Last week I performed at a special Halloween event for the Connected Circle, hosted by Chris Henry and iConcierge.
I shared the bill with representatives of some rather dubious professions including a tarot card reader, an astrologer and a faith healer (with an extreme penchant for mixed metaphors). Most of what was said that evening was complete nonsense. But I hope that my nonsense was more fun than theirs.

Mystic Halloween - Connected Circle
This Friday, I'll be performing at Connected Circle's Mystic Halloween show.
Have you ever wondered how magic is done? Is there something you want to say to someone in the afterlife? Do you know the benefit of aligning your spirit, body and energy?
Join the live studio audience at the upcoming "Mystic Halloween" Connected Circle Live Show and Dance Party! as mystic guest mediums, tarot card readers and magicians share insights to help you discover your mystical self. Meet the mystics and dance the night away with other audience members.
Halloween costumes optional but encouraged.
The show's live filming will take place on Friday, October 28th from 5:30pm onwards at Maezo Restaurant + Bar (formerly The Rum Exchange) in downtown Toronto.
Tickets are now available if you'd like to join us. (And apparently there's a dance party as well.)
