This week's show (which is un/fortunately sold out) features the special guest mind reading of Ron Guttman. Ron performs some rather astonishing interactive explorations of clairvoyance, divination, prognostication and jiggery-pokery. He's been a guest on the show a few times before. Unfortunately, we can't accommodate any more guests for this Sunday's show, but tickets for future events are available at www.MagicTonight.ca/tickets. A Weekend of Storytelling
This weekend, Soulo Theatre (where I serve on staff in the ill-defined role of Interim Sanity Consultant) is presenting the Mid-Career Retrospective of storyteller James Judd. James was a performer and panelist at the 2015 Soulo Theatre Festival earlier this year where he presented his one-person-show Killer Quack. This weekend he's presenting three nights of shows - Friday, Saturday & Sunday - at the Red Sandcastle Theatre (922 Queen Street East, Toronto) tickets to the extravaganza are available at www.soulo.ca/judd. There are discounts for purchasing tickets to more than one event.
On top of that, there's a special story telling workshop on Sunday afternoon, also at the Red Sandcastle. Having sat through his show in the spring riveted, I can recommend both whole heartedly. Hope to see you there!

This week on Magic Tonight
A special feature this weekend, we have two guests. Comprising this fantastic Dynamic Duo - Matt DiSero and David Peck. One is a philosopher and instructor at Humber College. The other struggles to keep his chicken under control. Come find out which is which. (In other news, if magic doesn't work, I might try pitching sitcoms.) Magic Tonight happens every Sunday night at the Crimson Lounge in Downtown Toronto. Coming up on Sunday, we have the hilarious, zany and lightly peppered Jason Palter - winner of the Canadian Event Industry's "Entertainer of the Year" award. Jason has been on the show more times than I care to count and he's always loads of fun and full of surprises. Magic Tonight continues through the summer at the Crimson Lounge in Toronto. Last week on Magic Tonight
What a creepy evening on Magic Tonight! Nick Wallace is, as I have maintained for years, the devil. In addition to an extremely creepy doll which seemed to form strange invisible connections with nearby individuals, he was turning people into human puppets and swallowing sharp objects. Odd how when you say it like that it doesn't sound anywhere near as fun as it is in person. Go figure. Take a look at some of what we got up to.
