Black Friday & Cyber Monday Magic

It has ben a truly wonderful year for me and for magic. Although we have a busy month ahead filled with holiday parties, Magic & Martini is nearly done for the year, with one sold-out show left before we break for Christmas. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has come out to see the show, and also shared those evenings with family and friends.

We have several dates posted for 2018, so if you would like to get an unbeatable price on tickets this Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, you can use the code BLACKFRIDAY on the website for 60% off tickets for all of the open performances.

We look forward to seeing you in the new year and sharing some magic and fun with you then.

Happy Holidays!

A bit of Movie Magic

For the past year, I've been working quietly on a project I'm now thrilled to share. A new addition to The Screening Room, an online archive of vintage magic videos hosted by Magicana brings the private magic video collection of Larry Thornton to the world for free.

Larry Thornton, of Calgary, Alberta, recorded magicians in his hometown and at magic conventions across North America. Many magicians, still well-known today, were captured looking younger than I could imagine. The process of digitizing the 8mm reels has been slow and careful and now the archive is finally available.

Take a look at a short sneak preview and visit the entire collection through the button below.

A Magic Bash

It's just been announced, I'll be appearing on stage at the annual one day magic convention hosted in Toronto by the Browser's Den of Magic - The Browser Bash. This is the fourth year they're holding this special gathering for magicians and magic enthusiasts. Every year it seems to get bigger and more extravagant.

I've been asked if I would do one of my favourite pieces; something which began as the close of my first theatre show, Lies, Damn Lies & Magic Tricks:

Of course, as you would expect for an event organized by magicians,  they're being intentionally mysterious about who else is performing, but more names will be added as we get closer to April.
